LANDSCAPE GARDEN ASSISTANT

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Maintenance Manager in the operations and daily tasks in the maintenance of client gardens and the company greenhouse
  • Assist in gathering of plan materials for installations
  • Visit job sites to monitor and check work performed by installation and maintenance crews
  • Troubleshoot irrigation problems
  • Plant, water, cultivate, fertilize, and weed gardens

Requirements:

  • Plant identification and knowledge
  • Plant pest and disease identification and organic pest control methods
  • Knowledge and ability of how to properly prune and trim perennials, grasses, shrubs, and trees
  • Knowledge of essential irrigation and setting of irrigation controller
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
  • Enjoys the outdoors and can work outside in all weather (year-round)
  • Texas Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Bilingual preferred

SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Applicants must have:

  • Professional license in Texas or reciprocal state
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Architectural Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience working in a design-based Landscape Architecture firm
  • Experience with the entire design process from concept through construction observation
  • Software skills: Vectorworks, AutoCAD or similar, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, and Indesign, Microsoft Office Suite

Strong skills in the following are essential for success in this position:

  • Excellent hand and computer drawing skills
  • Elegant and well-defined design sensibility
  • Research and permitting experience
  • Thorough knowledge of construction grading and detailing
  • Extensive experience developing full drawings sets in CAD-based software.
  • Hardscape and landscape design; knowledge of local plants strongly preferred
  • Creative problem solving ability
  • Emotional resiliency, conflict resolution, empathy
  • Robust construction observation or design-build experience

ENTRY LEVEL DESIGNER

Applicants must have:

  • 2 years minimum of professional landscape architecture or architecture office experience
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field
  • Mastery of drafting and imaging software
  • Understanding of drawing sets: know which elements are critical from a construction/pricing standpoint
  • Understanding of detailing: know the basics of how things are built
  • Understanding of pricing and value: know which details will hold up over time, be labor intensive, be inexpensive, etc.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Time tracking skills: understand how long it will take to complete tasks
  • Mastery of communication cycles: keep clients and team members in the loop on a weekly or daily basis
  • Emotional resiliency, conflict resolution, empathy, problem solving
  • WIllingness to accept full responsibility for your work

Full-Time Landscape Driver/Crew Member


Required:

  • Current TX driver's license
  • Clean driving record

Position consists of: 

  • Driving landscaping crew to project locations
  • Driving vehicle on material runs throughout the day
  • Crew work when not driving vehicle
  • Physically demanding, outdoor work in Central Texas seasonal weather (extreme heat in the summer; cold/rainy weather in the winter)


Full benefits after three months, to include health insurance, paid vacation, and paid holidays. 40 hours per week, typically 8am-6pm, with 6-8 hours overtime weekly.
